Heavy-Duty Timing Belts for Brick, Ceramic, and Stone Industries

move-series® belts belts are ideal for systems that prioritize strength and precision. Engineered for high loads, reduced backlash, and superior wear resistance, move-series® belts offer:

  • 75% higher stiffness provides excellent positioning accuracy
  • 30% increased tooth shear strength allows for increased load-carrying capacity
  • 75% higher tensile strength helps resist stretching

Popular for: Image acquisition, cutting stations, packaging lines, production lines, inclined conveying systems

Self-tracking timing belts maintain alignment and minimize lateral motion without pulley flanges when system space or conveying clearance is limited, removing obstructions in conveying paths without sacrificing accuracy.

Popular for: Positioning systems

Timing Belt Backings for Brick, Ceramic, and Stone

BRECOflex offers a wide range of timing belt covers that are bonded to belts to increase wear and chemical resistance, improve grip, and support other specific product handling needs that are critical in the abrasive brick, ceramic, and stone industries.

A highly-machinable, high-density closed polyurethane foam with high abrasion and wear resistance, ideal for heavy-duty conveying and positioning applications.

A synthetic flouroelastomer material, suitable for conveying warm glass products during annealing and inspection stages. Resistant to simple oils, fats, fuels, acids, lye, and ozone.

A polyester fleece backing designed for temperatures up 110°C (230°F) with anti-static properties.

A natural rubber with high wear and abrasion resistance, often used to protect belts in harsh conditions like glass cutting applications, and provide additional grip when conveying fragile materials.

A leather backing with good abrasion resistance and coefficient of friction for applications that require weather-resistant properties.

Custom Timing Belt Solutions for Brick, Ceramic, Stone Applications

BRECOflex offers application-driven customization options that support high-load transport, precise motion control, and resistance to demanding operating factors like abrasion and high temperatures. Components are engineered to meet the specific mechanical and environmental requirements while maintaining quality and consistent performance.

Profiles (cleats): Abrasion-resistant welded polyurethane profiles provide controlled spacing, product separation, and positioning on conveyor systems. Over 2,000 stock profile shapes are available, with adjustable height, width, thickness, chamfer, curvature, and hole placement. Custom profiles can be engineered to meet specific material handling requirements or system layouts.

Machining: BRECOflex timing belts can be mechanically processed in several ways to meet tight tolerances and functional requirements, including back grinding for specific thickness tolerances, slitting and perforating for vacuum applications, and edge grinding to reduce lateral movement.

Belt and tension member materials: Material selection directly determines a timing belt’s stiffness, wear resistance, repeatability, and ability to withstand environmental exposures. With 11 polyurethane types for belt bases (including high-temperature polyurethane) and four tension member materials, precise selections can be made based on the performance demands and operating conditions of specific brick, ceramic, and stone applications.
