BRECOflex Adds AT8 MOV Open-Ended Timing Belts to Product Line

BRECOflex CO., L.L.C. has expanded the offerings of the move-series of timing belts with the addition of AT8 MOV Open-Ended M for Linear Drives. The AT8 MOV in truly endless BFX has been around for some time but our customers' need for high accuracy in smaller, yet dynamically complex positioning drives prompted the decision to make an open-ended AT8 part of the move-series product range.

Just like our other move-series timing belts, AT8 MOV open-ended has excellent tensile stiffness compared with other belts as you can see in the chart below. It is a smaller pitch than AT10 but has the same specific stiffness, based on a 50mm belt width. The smaller pitch also reduces the polygonal effect.

In linear drive applications, the high tensile strength and high stiffness of the “move tension members” ensure faster settling and more accurate positioning with a very high degree of precision. There are many advantages that come from the special features of move timing belts. Namely, the high load-bearing capacity of the tension members, optimized tooth shape and low-friction coefficient of the belt coating. Furthermore, these features add to the long service life and low friction which so many customers find important.

Move series timing belts are available in open-ended AT8, AT10 and AT15 in standard widths of 25, 50, 75 and 100mm. In between widths are available up on request. Move-series truly endless BFX comes in AT8, AT10 and AT15 pitches in standard widths of 16, 25, 32, 50, 75, and 100.
